How merchant underwriting works

Know what an acquirer reviews and why a provider may ask for more detail before approving a merchant account.

Underwriting is the provider’s decision about whether and how to support a specific business. Twin Horn can organize the application and questions, but cannot approve the account.

01

Describe the operation

Expect questions about legal entity, beneficial owners, licenses, products, channels, website, sales practices, volume, and processing history. Submit sensitive records only through the provider’s secure channel.

02

Read the proposed terms

A conditional offer may include limits, reserves, funding schedules, equipment rules, and prohibited transactions. Clarify any mismatch before launch.

03

Keep information current

Material changes to products, locations, ownership, sales model, or volume can require another review. Maintain an accurate support contact and records.

QUESTIONS THAT MATTER

Good answers make
better decisions.

Is there guaranteed approval?

No. The authorized provider alone decides eligibility and terms.

Do I send IDs through the Twin Horn form?

No. The public contact form is for initial business details, not sensitive documents.
